The Princess Martha understands that the transition into a retirement community can be overwhelming. The transition itself, and the understanding of the retirement industry often sparks several questions, and during this time we are here to help! Provided below are a list of frequently asked questions that individuals looking for retirement communities should consider asking to help them find the right community!
Q: How much does senior living cost?
Every retirement community evaluates the cost of their services differently, and cost varies based on services needed, apartment size, and the care associated with each individual resident. The pricing at The Princess Martha is based on the individuals level of care, and the size of the apartment they are living in. Our Cost Calculator may be of assistance as you are evaluating options for senior living as it helps to put into perspective our pricing schedule as our services are all- inclusive. For more information, please contact our marketing and admissions department at (727) 894-6788.
Q: What types of social programming do you have?
Every retirement community handles their activities differently. The Princess Martha operates a full programming and social calendar for our residents. We participate in a variety of activities such as Zumba, Tai Chi, bingo, poker, ceramics, cooking classes, movie night and so much more! Our activities calendars are designed to inspire growth cognitively and functionally for our residents, and there are activities specific to each level of care as well which allow for increased participation and involvement.
Q: Am I allowed to bring my own furniture?
Most senior living communities allow residents to bring their own furniture, and most apartments come generally unfurnished. At The Princess Martha we encourage our residents to bring their own furniture when they move in. The familiarity of home furniture sometimes helps to provide comfort during the transition phase of moving in.
Q: Will I be signing a long term lease?
Every retirement community has different lease terms. At The Princess Martha we operate with lease conditions requiring only a 15 day notice to vacate. This means that our lease is month to month, and that there is no long term lease agreement. The contract signed is good for the resident’s entire length of stay, and we include addendums to cover specific costs for changing services as applicable.
